I've tried to quit several times but kept relapsing due to stress etc. Monday morning i woke up coughing again till i puked. Decided this has got to stop so I smoked all I could on monday. I know its twisted. Woke up tuesday morning coughed puked gain and put on the patch. Decided it's time. The hacking every morning was just disgusting. Hopefully i can do it this time. The patch really seems to help. And those plastic toothpicks I've probably chewed thru twenty in the last two days. Anyway I'll keep you posted.... Anyone wanna jump on board with me that would be great.

raoul,aa taught me to learn what my 'triggers' were.it works...found out that i could abstain from smokin, while i was by myself, but when i got around other people,i wanted to smoke...i stayed away from everybody but the mailman for 13 days, and then started goin to 'smoke free'aa meetings.ill never forget the support i got from those ex smokers.bottom line is,somethin has to change.feb 08 will be 11 years since i eliminated that deadly crap, from my life..you will be lucky to make it through the bash.need to be around non smokers who care about ye.if you dont think you can ake it at the bash,DONT GO! just remember this,we're all in this thing together, and hognuts is pullin for ye.'keep the contiune'

psychology can help, by telling people you are quitting you are putting pressure on yourself to live up to your words which is different than say my roommate who has been quitting about every 3 days consistently for the past 6 months. He has setup a system for failure and I told him just tell everyone you are quitting not me because I am sick of hearing he is quitting when I know he won't.

Congrats on quitting if you have made it this far but there are lots of things you can do to help and plenty of information out there but this is a big step.
